Saturday May 27th πŸ¦…Read Micah 1 πŸ¦…Micah 1:

Saturday May 27th  πŸ¦…Read Micah 1 πŸ¦…Micah 1:

1. -  The word of the LORD that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem. πŸ¦…  Samaria and Judah  πŸ¦…

Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.

For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.

And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.

For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem?

Therefore I will make Samaria as an heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will discover the foundations thereof.

And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot. πŸ”―πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ™

Friday May 26th 2023 😑 Read Jonah 4 😑 Spearing of the city angers Jonah 😑

Friday May 26th 2023    πŸ˜‘  Read Jonah 4  πŸ˜‘ Spearing of the city angers Jonah   πŸ˜‘

 -   Then said the LORD, Doest thou well to be angry?

So Jonah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become of the city.

And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd.

But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered.

And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live.  πŸ”―πŸ’ŸπŸ’ŸπŸ’ŸπŸ™

9  -  And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:
10  -  And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.
11  -  Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
12  -  And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.
13  -  In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.
14  -  They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beersheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again. πŸ”―πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ™

Tuesday May 23rd 2023 πŸ”―  Read 2 John  πŸ”― Counsel and warnings   πŸ”―   2 John 1:

4  - I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
5  -  And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
6  -  And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment,    That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
7  -  For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
8  -  Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.  πŸ”―πŸ’ŸπŸ’ŸπŸ’ŸπŸ™

Monday May 22nd 2023 πŸ”―  Read 1 John 3  πŸ”―  The test of unbelief  πŸ”―  1 John 3:

18  -  My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
19  -  And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
20  -  For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
21  -  Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
22  -  And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
23  -  And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
24  --  And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.  πŸ”―πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ™

Sunday May 21st 2023    πŸ”―  Read Joel 2  πŸ”―   The call to repentance πŸ”―  Joel 2:

12 -  Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
13  -  And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
14  -  Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?
15  -  Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:
16  -  Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
17  -  Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God.  πŸ”―πŸ’ŸπŸ’ŸπŸ’ŸπŸ™
