Solomon takes foreign wives 

1 Kings 11:  👑

4  - For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

5  -  For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.

6  -  And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.

7  -  Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.

8  -  And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.

9  -  And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice,

10 -  And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.

11  -  Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.

12  -  Notwithstanding in thy days I will not do it for David thy father's sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son.

13  -  Howbeit I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one tribe to thy son for David my servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen. 🔯💜💜💜🙏

David and Mephibosheth  

2 Samuel 9:  

1 -   And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?

2  -  And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he. 

3  -  And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.

4   -  And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar.  5  -  Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar.

6   -   Now when  Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant!

7   -  And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.    8  -   And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog, as I am? 🔯💟💟💟🙏

The Lord calls Samuel 

 1 Samuel 3:  

1  -  And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open vision.

2  -  And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see;

3  -  And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep; 

4  -  That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I.

5  -  And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down.

6  -  And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again.

7   -  Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him.

8 -  And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child.

9   -  Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.  🔯💜💜💜🙏

 Washing the disciples feet    

1  -   Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that we his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the  Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

2  -  And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;

3  -  Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;

4  -  He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.

5  -  After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

6  -  Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?

7-  Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.

8 -  Peter saith unto him,  Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.

9  -  Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.

10  -  Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.

11.  -  For he knew who ashould betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clear.  🔯💟💟💟🙏

Naomi and Ruth 

 1  -   Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.

2  -  And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehemjudah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there.

3  -  And Elimelech Naomi's husband died; and she was left, and her two sons.

4  -  And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years.

5  -  And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman was left of her two sons and her husband.

6  -  Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread.

7  -  Wherefore she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters in law with her; and they went on the way to return unto the land of Judah.

The marriage of Samson 

 4  -  But his father and his mother knew not that it was of the LORD, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.

5  -  Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him.

6  --  And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.

7  -  And he went down, and talked with the woman; and she pleased Samson well.

8  -  And after a time he returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcase of the lion: and, behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcase of the lion.

9  -  And he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion.

10  -  So his father went down unto the woman: and Samson made there a feast; for so used the young men to do.  🔯💜💜💜🙏
